Billy Bear is a meat product derived from pigs that have been slaughtered, processed, minced up and then reformed into a bear face. A cartoon-like character; friendly, cute, and smiling. Aimed at children it creates an artificial world where a bear's face on a supermarket shelf becomes the norm.
I returned Billy Bear back to the elements, feeling that somehow the pig meat could reconnect to the natural processes it had come from.
While editing the images, I noticed the last image's faint indication of a pig on the concrete floor. Maybe the bear revealing its true nature after all?
